Carlyle Infant and Nursery Academy, part of The Harmony Trust, is an 86-place Nursery and Reception setting in Derby who recently transformed their EYFS indoor and outdoor environments. Through careful evaluation, they redesigned their environments using Cosy products. This included purchasing furniture, outdoor storage and a wide range of continuous provision resources.

Kelly Kerry, EYFS Trust Leader, said “our priority was to redesign our environments, considering the needs of all children, whilst also aligning with our philosophy of what an effective and enabling environment looks like. Phil in particular helped by creating a spreadsheet which enabled us to track whether the items we had ordered were in stock and when we should expect delivery. Due to the size of our order, this was vital in ensuring we could follow our plan of creating areas of the provision slowly to ensure it was manageable for staff and children.” 

Kelly also worked closely with the Cosy room design team who supported during the design and purchasing process. “Nicola was great,” Kelly said, “she was able to signpost us to particular resources which allowed us to create our vision and ensured that the provision reflected the needs of our children and our approach to EYFS.”
